DEO TIBBA BASE CAMP TREK  Ex-Manali)

Deo Tibba Base Camp is a beautiful trek that would take you to the grazing pastures of the shepherds, and offers magnificent views of the Deo Tibba peak (6,001 m) and its huge hanging glaciers. As you traverse across mountain streams, meadows and log bridges, the panorama of the mighty Himalayas keeps changing to give you an authentic feeling of the Greater Himalayan range, which in turn makes this a trek worth experiencing. It is an absolute delight for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts too.

This trek is suitable for all age groups with a difficulty level of easy to moderate.

DAY WISE SCHEDULE:-

Day 1 :Manali-Burwa village:

Arrive at Manali Market in morning till 09:00 to 10:00 am & reach Burwa village. After refreshment & Lunch; take rest. After a briefing session, in evening acclimatization small trek to Jogni Waterfall & return to Burwa (1.5hr trek). Repacking for next day trek. Night stay at Burwa village farmhouse.

 

Day 2 :Burwa-Jagatsukh-Chikka (10,200 ft.)

We will drive towards the village of Jagatsukh till the Baraah Hazaari Hydro Water Station, which is the starting point of the trek. We will trek for around 3 hours to reach our first campsite at Chikka which has large flat pastures – perfect for camping. The trek is through thickly forested hillsides of Oak and Deodar, sprawling lush green meadows carpeted with a myriad variety of wild flowers and herbs. Overnight stay in tents.

 

Day 3 :Chikka-Seri (12,800 ft.)

After breakfast we make our way to Seri where we will camp for the night. The trail climbs gradually the whole way. Seri is a beautiful flat meadow, the size of a few football grounds, surrounded by peaks on all sides. This is where the Jagatsukh Nala flattens out completely. Overnight stay in tents. Meals: All meals.

 

Day 4 :Seri-Tenta waterfall (13775 ft)

Today, we leave early in the morning for Tenta waterfall; which offers magnificent views of the Mount Deo Tibba with its huge hanging glaciers rising high in front of us. The trail gets exciting with three shallow streams to cross (no bridges) after Seri! If the weather gods permit, one could see Chota Chandrataal at a distance – a tiny beautiful lake with emerald blue water. Overnight stay in tents at Tenta. We will camp here for two nights.

 

Day 5:Tenta-Deo Tibba Base camp (14500ft) –Tenta

After an early morning breakfast, we’ll make our way to Deo Tibba Base camp. And can enjoy in snow & back to Tenta camp site.

 

Day 6  :Tenta –Seri

From today we will start our return trek. Back to Seri camp site. And night halts here.

 

Day 7 :Seri-Chikka

After breakfast Seri to Chikka trek & Night camp at Chikka.

 

Day 8  :Chikka-Jagatsukh-Manali

Today trek to Jagatsukh village. Once we reach at Baraah Hazari; our Jeeps will drive us towards Burwa. After refreshment & lunch. Rest for the day. And free for marketing.

 

Day 9  :Burwa-Manali drop.

 

Today is the last day of our trekking tour. In morning if anyone is interested in Paragliding ,Zorbing, Horse riding sports; then one can do it at own cost in Solang Valley & return for lunch at Burwa farmhouse. After lunch jeeps will drop us in Manali market-bus stand. Those who want to do white water rafting (at own cost) will reach Bhuntar rafting spot. And after rafting board the bus from Bhuntar to Delhi with adventurous sweet memories.

  • Bed Tea, Breakfast-tea, Lunch, Evening Tea-snacks, Dinner

  • Guide Fee, cook charges.

  • Tent accommodation on sharing basis.

  • At Burwa farmhouse rooms will be allotted on sharing basis.

COST EXCLUDES:

  •  To and fro  travel cost to manali.

  • Personal Porter / Pony charges.

  • Insurance Charges for any kind of insurance.

  • Emergency helicopter evacuation and any medical treatment cost.

  • Entrance fees to monasteries.

  • Any adventure actives in Solang valley & rafting charges.Any adventure actives in Solang valley & rafting charges.

  • Any expenditure of personal nature like drinks, mineral water, hot water for drinking, beverages, hot shower, phone charges, any tips to drivers, hotel staff, laundry, porters, sherpas etc.

  • In the event of any delays due to flights, weather condition – the cost of extra days would be required to pay by the participant directly on the spot for accommodation and food.

  • Any additional expense caused due to any reason beyond control of ADD-VENTURE INDIA and its associates; like change in itinerary due to flight delays, road blockage, landslides, bridge breakage and any other natural calamity or incidence like strike, curfew etc. on which ADD-VENTURE INDIA and its associates do not have any control.

  • Anything which is not mentioned in the “Cost Includes”.

  • GST applicable at prevailing rates. (At present 5%)
