About the Fort:-

Sinhagad, Sinhgarh, or Sinhgad (The Lion's Fort), is a fortress located roughly 30 kilometres southwest of the city of Pune,India. Previously called Kondhana (Marathi: कोंढाणा), the fort has been the site of many important battles, most notably theBattle of Sinhagad in 1671. It was also strategically located at the centre of a string of other forts such as Rajgad, Purandar andTorna.

Trip Starts : Shastri Hall at 5.00 am sharp on day 1

Trip Ends : Next day same place  around 9.00pm

  [ Pick up and drop at any other place convenient to both participant and organizers will be arranged if informed prior]

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: 

  • Assemble at Shastri Hall  and leave for Sinhagad base at around 5am by private bus.

  •  Reach Sinhagad base village Atkar vadi by 9:30am.

  • Have tea and breakfast, start trekking at 10:30am.Reach top by 12 noon, have lunch and rest for a while.

  • Start fort exploration. Come back to Tilak banglow..

  • Have evening snacks and camp fun.

  • Have dinner and the day’s activity ends .

 

Day 2  ​

  •  Wakeup at 5:30 am, have tea and breakfast and explore the remaining fort.

  • Start descending.

  • Arrive at base village and start the return journey to Mumbai.

Lunch expenses on Day 2 should be borne by participants at foodmall.

 

Things to carry

  • Shoes compulsory.

  • Sunglasses [optional] and cap compulsory

  • Wind cheater, Rain wear.

  • Pair of clothes.

  • Medication if any.

  • Drinking water [2/3 litres]

  • Small trekking sac with rain cover if possible

 

Note:
• Please do not carry gold ornaments or any other valuables.
• Please do not carry handbags or zolas for the trek.
• Avoid Chapels / Slippers for trek
• Camera, Binocular is allowed at your own risk
• for safety please follow the expert’s/ Instructors advice on trek.
