Who we are?

We are a group of like minded individuals, and Adventure is not only our first love but is also our “Oxygen”. Hence, we have been into the ‘outdoors’ for nearly 3 decades now, and for all these years have also been actively participating, planning, organising and conducting variety of Adventure activities, for ourselves as well as for whoever is interested.

We also carry a vast professional experience in various fields such as Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, HR, Finance Marketing etc. It is during this long journey that we realised the real significance of adventure sports. We ourselves have reaped its benefits and concluded that these are not merely recreational activities, but great Educators. When we talk about ‘Teamwork, Leadership, Personality Development’ and such other terms freely used in today’s corporate world of fierce competition, we’ve realised that there is no better ‘Guru’ than the Outdoors.

Thus, we are fully aware that adventure activities do not mean ‘stunts’ and that not all sorts will suit everyone. We understand the importance of safety and precautions when individuals are exposed to the outdoors. We are also aware that for every one, the concept of ‘Adventure’ may be different. That is the reason all our programmes may not be open to all, but we will surely be able to provide a programme for everyone. We are not just another ‘tours and travel’ company with fixed and rigid ‘3 nights - 4  days’ type itineraries. We avoid fully guided, packaged tours to overcrowded, hot tourist destinations. Our programmes will carry a shade of ‘Add-venture’ even if organised at such tourist destinations; totally off-beat and away from the mad rush.

Our Values

‘Adventure’ is to venture beyond the normally accessible, to find out beyond what is known and to unravel those hidden beauties and secrets remote to a normal person. It is a way of life in its essential values, without formalities, generating a direct rapport between mankind and nature. Adventure offers many rewards. The serene atmosphere and the scenic beauty outside, combined with the feeling of “pushing one’s physical and mental strength to the limits”, gives a feeling of achievement and utmost satisfaction. If a person gets a ‘taste’ for it even once, the next adventure draws him back time and again. Body and mind crave for these feelings and thus adventure becomes a way of life! There are very few parallels, as comprehensive as ‘adventure’, in enriching and moulding the personality of any one.

“Add-venture India” is about such adventures - Meticulously brought under one roof. Why???

  • Because we strongly believe - that a curious child and an explorer is hidden in every individual…..

  • Because we strongly believe - that our routine life will transform into an epic one, only if we blend in a little adventure with it….

  • Because we strongly believe - that not only physically & mentally fit people, but also those desperately willing to walk on a non-trodden path, can easily do it ……

“Add-venture India” is all for that child and explorer within you who, perhaps, only needs a hand at the right spot to pull you out from the boring routine and help you walk that non-trodden path.

The man behind Add-venture !!

Prasanna Joshi

Prasanna's has been pursuing trekking and Mountaineering for the past 30 years and has been on numerous treks in the Sahyadris and about 10-12 high altitude treks in the Himalayas of India and Nepal.

The cycling bug bit him about 4 years back when he accompanied a few friends on an 80 km ride using a borrowed bicycle. He bought  an MTB the very next day!! He has been exploring the ghats on his MTB with short day trips. This led to doing the Bhandardara Circuit (120 km) and The Goa circuit (268 km) very recently.

Apart from pursuing his own trekking, He was voluntarily associated with GIRIVIHAR, one of the oldest non-profit Trekking clubs in Mumbai since 1986. Over the past 25 years he has strived towards Girivihar’s objective of promoting trekking and allied adventure sports. Prasanna has pioneered the Adventure Camps for Kids, since 1992. He has successfully conducted 24 such camps and the Silver Jubilie camp is scheduled shortly.

He completed his basic course from the HMI ( Himalayan Mountaineering Institute) in Darjeeling, which opened a gateway in scaling a couple of peaks in the Himalayas, and rock-climbing expedition in the Sahayadris. He later took the responsibility of "Leader" on a trek to the Everest Base Camp organised by YHAI.

Always eager to explore newer areas in adventure, he undertook a two weeks Basic training course in White Water Rafting & kayaking in the river Ganga, above Rushikesh.
